Design MA

The design industry covers and entwines the professional field of product design, the most important features of which are: innovation, creativity, environmental and social awareness. The designer having these qualities combined with social responsibility attempts to meet individual, communal and social challenges.

With the unravelling of personal creativity and the liberation of creative thinking, you can prevail in many fields of design through free and independent problem-solving skills alongside the development of a critical attitude. You can design furniture, a public piece of art, a vehicle, a lamp or some kind of electronic appliance, kitchenware, the important thing is to address responsible thinking and to recognize the global and local problems and find solutions for them! You will be up to date with the directions of design, and will be able to apply modern planning techniques; we will help you unfold your design responsibility and social awareness.

„Good design is a manifestation of the capacity of the human spirit to transcend its limitations.”
George Nelson

“Giving is better than receiving”.  A Designer is someone who happily shares what they have: their creativity, their talent, their knowledge and their intellect. These particular skills help them to design objects and services that put less strain on the environment, are reusable and recyclable, satisfy our needs, give us joy and affect us emotionally.  Can an everyday end-user and a designer long for more than this? Can anything give a designer greater pleasure than one who is able to give something useful to the public?”
Attila Bárkányi DLA, Habil. - University Professor, Ferenczy Noémi Award-winning Designer

THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR YOU...if you are a curious type, are sensitive to the present environmental problems of recycling issues, are fond of the objects surrounding us, have a critical attitude towards the living conditions and quality of our closer and wider environment and if you feel responsibility as a designer in giving a hand to solve today’s gaps in the market.
