Animated films in Átrium
Animascope 4

METU organizes a semester-opening screening for the 4th time this year, and everybody interested in Animation is warmly welcomed! In this event METU students present their latest works and visitors can meet them in person. It’s already a tradition in our institute to let the visitors sneak a peek into METU life during Animascope and they can see the work in progress and the atmosphere of our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

Animascope will give the visitors an opportunity to watch METU animations from the last academic year and also award-winning thesis works (founded by the NMHH Media Council) such as ’WireLess’, ’Second Hand’ and ‘Seniors Gone Rogue’ (‘Kópék’).

This year, the guest of the program will be the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME). The aim of the organizers is to enhance dialogue between the actors of Hungarian higher education in art. In the screening selection, MOME will introduce such great animated films as ’Houseparty’ (‘Házibuli’), ’Cosmic’, ’Jacuzzi’, ‘The Hangnail Picker’ (‘Körömágyszaggató’) or ’Beyond’.

After the screeing, roundtable will be held with young animation artists who are current or graduated students of the universities about their works and about their vision on the future of animation education in Hungary and in the World.
